How It Started

One chair. One idea. One very stubborn barber.

Marco Rochelle opened the shop on Victoria Lane in the spring of 2011 with a reputation built in London and Milan, and a conviction that most barbershops were getting something fundamentally wrong: they were too fast, too template-driven, and not nearly concerned enough with what the client actually walked out looking like.

The first year was one chair and a three-month waiting list. By the second year he brought in Luca. The third, Noah. Rayan joined four years ago from Manchester. The team grew slowly and deliberately. The standard never changed.

What We Stand For

Three things we never compromise on.

The time it takes

A cut takes as long as it takes. Nobody here is watching the clock or the door. If it needs another five minutes to be right, those five minutes happen. Always.

Who we hire

We've turned down a lot of applicants over the years. The team is small because we hire for skill and character, not just availability. Everyone here is here because they're genuinely exceptional at this.

What goes on the shelf

Reuzel. Baxter of California. American Crew. Nothing ends up on the counter unless someone here would actually use it on themselves. The products are there because they work, full stop.
